washi-Tape-CandleStand

Today i tried a candle stand using old plastic items... i wish to give this for my next door (neighbor) aunt's mom...we all call by her name Mrs.LEE. a Japanese lady who will turn 86 by next month... she is fond of candles.... so i thought of making a candle stand... which will be very useful for her...i have tried this with three different products (i have snapped all the pictures with and without flash mode ..to avoid more blurred pictures...)
Materials: some patterned washi Tape...(any desired pattern) empty ice cream cup empty powder tub waste cd tape scissors organza ribbon , pearls , flower for decoration
Method: Step1: first i wish to cover the empty plastic powder tub...with the washi tape. all materials got from local store and they also gave me self adhesive tapes...wow... made the sticking process quite easy...rather than turning it out messy.i wish to have this as the base for the candle stand...
the material is a mixture of canvas and polyester paper.. the reason i tried this kind of paper is , it will provide the perfect grip without getting lose een when the hand is bit wet due to sweet . also , having a steady thought about aunty's age, i felt that she can hold it by her own...
Step2: Now i covered the cd with a self printed crafting paper tape...
then i decorated with organza ribbon ...and wish to attach a big glittering flower for the base part rather than decorating it with lots of pearls ...and gem stones..
Step3: Now comes the top portion...i have covered the plastic ice cream cup using shimmering washi tape...being a self adhesive tape this also helps in good coverage with high tone of shimmering effect..and decorated with pearl stickers...since the texture of the tape is of double sided pattern i have got the silver shimmering effect inwards also...this gives the bright illuminating reflection with the help of the candle light...
Finally i placed a candle ...
hope my aunty likes it, as she always likes my other craft works...:) #Tips#: can decorate with gemstone gives good effect... can try with long candles also like to share with my friends... joyfulstamper --> "Anything goes" That craft place--> "Anything goes" Creatalicious Challenges --> "Anything goes" My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge --> "No Cards Allowed" ABC Christmas challenges --> "N for Not a Card" DreamvalleyChallenge --> "Anything But Square" Jackson's Digital expressions --> #15 "Anything goes"
